The universities in the country and also the BHU appears as a “show-off building” by the former Soviet occupiers.
This is not the culture of the Kyrgyz people.
It is the young women who make up the majority of students. Men should rather go in manual professions, do something more concrete. The elite of the country usually ends at the stove to meet the traditional values. Nevertheless, a many few have the courage to risk with our help, the way to other countries. There a varietey of task are waiting for them. We support this endeavor with scholarships so that they can return with strenght.
